Abg Jo Presented With First-Placed 10+3 Digital Economy Innovation Awards

KUCHING: The Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Zohari Tun Abang Haji Openg today was today presented with the Digital Economy Innovation Awards that Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) won in the 10+3 (ASEAN + China, Japan and Republic of South Kore) competition recently. 

SMA won the award for Sarawak emerged as first-placed winner with the Smart City Operating System entry during the 10+3 Digital Economy Innovation Forum 2021  held on December 8 last year. 

The General Manager of SMA, Dr. Zaidi bin Razak handed presented the award to the Premier, who is also Chairman of SMA, during a brief ceremony held at the Premier’s Office. 

The competition was organised by the China Academy of Information and  Communication Technology together with the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Yunnan Province involving over 200 entries and 26 finalists from ASEAN countries, China, Japan and South Korea. 

Later, the Premier chaired the SMA Board meeting.
